About Upfront Clarity

The Upfront Work Is the Work That Changes the Outcome

Upfront Clarity was built on a simple conviction: the best decisions are made before leaders ever enter the room — through preparation, financial clarity, and disciplined thinking.

The Story Behind Upfront Clarity

I have led companies as a CEO, CFO, and COO. I have faced payroll pressure, stood before boards, investors, and banks, and made high-stakes decisions with both complete and incomplete information.

Across 35+ years of operating, advising, and building companies, I learned that the gap between a good decision and a costly one is almost always preparation. The leaders who make the strongest calls are not guessing. They understand their numbers, know their position, pressure-test their assumptions, and walk into the moment with clarity instead of hope.

But most founders and executives do not have time to do that upfront work. They are running the business. Growth is demanding. Processes fall behind. Reporting gets delayed. Financial infrastructure often takes a back seat to getting the product out, serving the customer, and keeping momentum alive.

Upfront Clarity exists to create that capacity. We do the upfront work alongside you, so you can walk into every decision — every bank meeting, board presentation, capital raise, acquisition discussion, and growth inflection point — with the clarity to act confidently and the discipline to follow through.

Community Impact

15 Years with Cleantech Open

As a Lead Mentor with Cleantech Open — one of the world's leading clean technology accelerators — I have mentored dozens of early-stage founders through critical growth phases, including financial modeling, pitch preparation, go-to-market strategy, and capital raising.

That mentorship work continues to shape Upfront Clarity. It keeps us close to the founder journey and grounded in the real challenges growth-stage companies face every day.
